HorseHead Cinema announces the beginnings of its newest film project, Nothing Like The Sun, a feature-length historical melodrama, currently in pre-production. The film will be shot in 35mm color and released in theaters for its premiere exhibition around mid-2011 to 2012. More film production, distribution and exhibition details will be posted in our film blog as the release date closens.
Inspired by Patrick Suskind's novel "Das Parfum: Die Geschichte eines Mörders (Perfume: The Story of a Murderer)" and the Alice Mitchell trials of 1892, Nothing Like The Sun originated from Nguyen D. Nguyen's adaptation of a documentary script on insane asylums, entitled "The Foundations of 20th Century Reason".
